I am from Portugal, where I obtained an MSc in Bioengineering, with a specialization in Molecular Biotechnology. For my Master’s thesis, I worked on a project with the goal to create an in vitro system that could be used for studying biliary diseases.
Currently, I’m a PhD Candidate in the group of Professor Roos Masereeuw at the University of Utrecht, Netherlands. My project focuses on the evaluation of tracers to monitor renal function, and for that, I’ll make use of a bioartificial kidney tubule device.
