Originally from Barcelona, Spain, I graduated in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Barcelona. During my BSc degree I worked with pluripotent stem cells and neuronal differentiation. While studying for my master degree in Translational Medicine, I continued working within the same project studying the role of several stimulation methods during stem cell differentiation into neuronal mature cells.
After finishing my MSc, I moved to Galway, Ireland to start my PhD within the RenalToolBox MSCA-ITN project. Here, my research project explores the use and the full characterization of Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (BM-MSC) and their potential use as a cell-based regenerative therapy for kidney disease.
