Funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) in the EU Horizon 2020 Programme as part of the RenalToolBox Innovative Training Network (ITN), I am pursuing a PhD at the Department of Nephrology of the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) in the Netherlands. I have successfully completed my scientific training in basic and translational biomedical sciences at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. My PhD research focuses on the development of advanced imaging technology for the evaluation of kidney function in health and disease. With these state-of-the-art imaging methods, the aim is to investigate therapeutic efficiency of regenerative medicine based on characterized imaging biomarkers of vascular and renal dysfunction.
