The end of 2020 saw the conclusion of the first half of RenalToolBox project, which completed 2 years on 31 October. As part of EU's monitoring activities for MSCA Innovative Training Networks, an Interim Report was submitted shortly after this date describing the implementation and progress of the project to date. On 24-26 April the EU commission held a pan-European hackathon to develop innovative solutions for coronavirus-related challenges. The RenalToolBox ESRs participated in the hackathon under the challenge 'Remote working and education, E-Learning methods & tools'. Their idea was to develop an easily accessible, all-in-one platform to provide direct links to health sciences events taking place...
The RenalToolBox teams at the University of Utrecht and University of Turin have recently published two reviews on Kidney-based in vitro models for drug-induced toxicity testing and Stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles and kidney regeneration. On 25 September 2019 RenalToolBox achieved its first two milestones: " Planned Recruitments Completed" and "All recruited fellows enrolled in a PhD programme". Our team of researchers is now complete and we are excited to start our research programme!
The Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) recruited by the RenalToolBox are now starting their posts. Five fellows have started their projects in Leiden University, Utrecht University, iThera Medical, University of Heidelberg and the National University of Ireland Galway. The other 10 fellows are due to start in the coming months. More information under Research Projects.
